Our holistic health practitioners offer a diverse selection of healing modalities to our community. We heal ourselves and our patients using the following healing modalities:
- Acupuncture is an essential part of traditional Oriental medicine which also includes Chinese herbology, bodywork, dietary therapy, and exercise, based on traditional Oriental medical principles.
- Nutritional Therapy is an in-depth inquiry into diet and how it relates to your health concerns. Educational sessions will help you design your meals, treat deficiencies/weakness in the body and determine food allergies or sensitivities, while in some cases strengthening the digestive tract and maximizing on nutrient absorption.
- Bodywork is a term for a vast array of techniques that are used to release tension in the mind and body. Massage releases the mental stress and physical stress, and realigns the structure of the body and energy field in a harmonious way. Miracles happen in massage sessions by keeping the client feeling safe, secure, and supported so that deep tensions can be released and soothed.
- The Rolf method of Structural Integration is deep bodywork that brings one into their body with a higher awareness and experience. It is an effective way to relieve pain, chronic stress, and improve performance in day-to-day activities, and improve postural and spinal issues.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) predates western medicine by thousands of years, and as a system stands on its own as a primary care modality. It is grounded in ancient Daoist philosophies concerning universal patterns of movement and balance, and unlike the predominant "localized" approach, it views health holistically as interrelated spheres of influence: mind, body and spirit; individuals and their environments; and a constantly interactive web of experience, awareness, and intention.
- Yoga Therapy is a holistic system of addressing health concerns by looking at the many levels of a person. Each prescribed course for restoration of balance is different. Based on classical yoga philosophy by Patanjali and the medical system called ayurveda, yoga therapy may prescribe treatments such as yoga breathing and postures, body work, diet, prayer, lifestyle changes, exercise, etc.
