Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a comprehensive medical system that has been used to diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses for over 5000 years. Ecological Pharmacy

Our Integrative Medicine Clinic is the only in the country that has a direct relationship with a Certified Organic farm which grows medicinals used at our clinic. We work with the farmers up at Earthstar Farm to maintain a herbal pharmacy of both bulk herbs and extracts which are certified organic and sustainably grown in our watershed. Of the herbs we import from overseas, we use suppliers that independently test their herbs for pesticide and herbicide contamination and heavy metal residues. We are in the process of establishing satellite clinics with organic farming relationships in Mexico, Nepal and Belize where we will be able to help local communities and provide herbs which don't have a local analogue. Our Clinic has pledged not to carry endangered plant species (see the link to United Plant Savers) and has a staff qualified to prescribe local alternatives to these species.

Energy Work

  • Tibetan Body Balancing is an ancient hands-on healing modality that serves as a reconnection to self and a powerful energy process. It artfully blends acupressure, energy work and pulse balancing in a unique way that helps create complete harmony - integrating the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.
  • Reiki means "universal life energy". Reiki is a safe, non-invasive, hands-on healing that stimulates physical, mental and emotional healing, energetic rebalancing and spiritual growth. Reiki goes where it is most needed in your system, on many levels.
  • Feng Shui sees the world as completely alive and connected to all things - including material objects. The beneficial practice of Feng shui helps free up blockages of energy to allow for new possibilities. The ever-growing popularity of Feng Shui is the result of its proven effectiveness on peoplešs lives and their interaction with their surroundings. Its numerous benefits include improved health, rewarding relationships, and an increase in overall personal and professional happiness and prosperity.

Herbology

Chinese herbs are very potent. They can be used in acute or chronic syndromes and should be prescribed by a qualified practitioner. Currently, Chinese Herbal Medicine has become acknowledged for its profound benefits in healing - supplementing and often replacing heavy use of pharmaceuticals for some individuals.

Bodywork is a term for a vast array of techniques that are used to release tension in the mind and body. Massage releases the mental stress and physical stress, and realigns the structure of the body and energy field in a harmonious way. Massage is very intuitive process specific to each individual. This allows the possibilities to arise for unique healing, in letting go into deep relaxation for the body, mind, and spirit. Miracles happen in massage sessions by keeping the client feeling safe, secure, and supported so that deep tensions can be released and soothed.

5% Return to our Community

The Clinic has pledged 5% of the Center's profits to non-profits working in the realm of Sustainability and Ecological Medicine both locally and internationally. We give a percentage to the Boulder Institute of Sustainability, which is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization providing hands-on experiential learning in the realms of sustainable land stewardship and sustainable community. Their mission is to create a culture of visionaries who learn from and design with nature, while teaching and modeling an integrated system of sustainable design of to address real world problems. We also give a percentage to a new organization called the Barefoot Doctors, which staffs Integrative Medicine clinics in communities underserved by medical care. They have already helped set up the first clinic in Jalmalonga and seek to create a cross-cultural exchange sharing of healing and medicines with both Native cultures and remote villages.
